Another day of tons to say but not a lot of time to write it down. I need to get all the kids lunches made so I can take them to The Club because I have to be in Sioux Falls by 10am. If anyone's counting, it's the third trip this week. Yesterday was for Zeke and his new braces.

I ran into an aquaintance at the library earlier this week (the kids and I go every Tuesday) and she introduced me to a friend of hers. She messaged me later wondering if I could get together because that gal has adopted kids and is having some challenging parenting issues. She doesn't know what to tell her so she was wondering if I would be willing to talk to her. Unfortunately, I didn't have much time this week so I offered Friday morning for coffee. It worked for both of them so I'm running over to her house at 8am before I need to leave for Sioux Falls by 9am. At least it'll be a starting point for connection and hopefully I can set up another time to meet with her. I can't believe how many people have approached me in the past few months with this kind of thing. I love it. It means God puts me in the right place at the right time and opens my heart to someone in need. I just need to remember to pray for wisdom when I talk so that it's not just my perspective coming through but God's.

I keep saying that I'll get the kids' baseball/softball schedules on here but I haven't managed to do it yet. Wed night Tay had a game all the way in Astoria. I sent Steve with Tay, Sophia and Zeke. I took Brittney, Riley and Anthony to fill bags for the Brookings Backpack Project. The Camp Adventure board decided to donate an evening and fill the bags of food/snacks that needy kids get in the summer. I needed to be there because I'm on the board and also because I wanted to help but I also try to get my kids involved in things that aren't all about them. I think it teaches them to help others just for the sake of helping. They did great!!! I think if you'd ask them, they had fun too!
