Yesterday I watched a video documentary called Closure. It's the true story of an adopted girl who searched for her birth parents.. It's nothing like the little moments they run on shows like Oprah. It's very realistic. I should know. I've been there.
Since I'm not going to let you watch the video of me meeting my birth mom and brother because it's on VHS, plus it's too personal to just put it out there on the web, I encourage you to watch this video.
It gives the perspective of Angela, who was adopted, and follows her through her search for her birth family. It also includes insight from her mother, her father, her siblings, her husband and some of her birth relatives. It was a bit too realistic for me at times. I was emotionally wiped out after watching it. If you're curious what a real adoption story is like, watch the link. I'll warn you ahead of time that it's an hour long. Not much time at all considering that it encompassed all of this girl's life.

One of the most exciting things for me is that this gal will be speaking at a conference/retreat I'll be attending in November!!! I can't wait to meet her!
