The second day of school is going to be great!
The kids all had a good first day of school and today I get the day off! Well, unless I consider the ten million pounds of laundry and all the cleaning and kids paperwork for school that I need to complete. It does look like I'll get to have lunch with a friend today though! I think we could have lunch together everyday for a year and never run out of things to talk about. And someday I'll let her talk too! Just kidding........mostly :)

The saddest part of the morning:
Taylor walked with her friend, I dropped Anthony off at Medary, Brittney off at the High School, then headed to Camelot to drop off Riley & Zeke. As each kid left, Sophia happily told them "Bye!".....until we reached the final school and the last kids left the van. Then she started crying "I go too! I go too!" She cried all the way home. The downfall of being the youngest child.  :(

Accident
Yesterday on the way to school(s), we saw a bike/car accident and knew the boy on the bike who was hit. Fortunately, he seems to be ok and was able to go to school a bit later. It could have been so much worse than it was. His mom saw it happen and I think it shook her up more than the boy. A good reminder to my kids to be safe and always wear their helmets.

Party
Tonight we're having a potluck with some of our family on my dad's side. My cousin is in town from Houston with his family, including their little boy and their new baby.
